What is whole life banking?

Whole life banking is a strategy where you use dividend-paying whole life insurance as a personal banking system. No. Policy Stack is an independent software company. We are practitioners who built the tool we wished existed. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any banking-concept organization or trademark holder.

Can I track policies from multiple carriers?

Yes. Add policies from any carrier — New York Life, Penn Mutual, Mass Mutual, Guardian, or any other. Policy Stack is carrier-agnostic. With Builder Pro, you can track unlimited policies.

How does document extraction work?

Upload a screenshot from your carrier portal or a PDF of your annual statement. Our AI extracts cash value, death benefit, premiums, and loan information automatically. You review and confirm before anything is saved.

Yes. All financial data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM field-level encryption and in transit via TLS 1.3. Every database query is filtered by row-level security policies. We never sell or share your data. See our security policy for full details.

What's the difference between Starter and Builder Pro?

Starter includes 1 policy, first-policy AI extraction, Help Mode without account-data access, the Policy Loan Repayment Modeler, and Human Life Value. Builder Pro adds unlimited policies, assets, and goals; Full Mode with explicitly confirmed record changes; unlimited AI Insights; Debt Sequencer, Income Stacker, and Financing Modeler; document extraction; analytics; collaboration; and expanded exports. Four additional tools remain marked coming soon.

How is Policy Stack different from a spreadsheet?

Spreadsheets can track numbers, but they don't understand whole life banking. Policy Stack has domain-specific calculations — capital velocity, deployment spread, repayment schedules, loan-to-value tracking — built in. It also handles document extraction from carrier statements, multi-policy dashboards, and scenario modeling that would take hundreds of formulas to replicate.

Does Policy Stack give financial advice?

No. Policy Stack is a tracking and analysis tool, not a financial advisor. We show you the numbers and help you model scenarios — we don't tell you what to do. Your banking system, your decisions.

How do I connect my account to my advisor?

The easiest way is to sign up through your advisor's invite link — policystack.co/advisor/their-name. Your account is automatically linked to their practice when you finish onboarding. You can also enter their referral code during signup; your advisor can share the code from their Practice Settings. If you already have an account, go to Settings → Advisor Access to connect manually.
